La Residencia, A Belmond Hotel
La Residencia, a property I’ve been wanting to visit for extensive amount of time, was where we spent our milestone 10-year wedding anniversary. Tucked away in the quiet coastal village of Deià in Mallorca, Spain, it was the perfect location to spend such an occasion.

Cala Deià is a rocky beach with clear waters, only a 10-minute drive or 30-min walk from La Residencia. Make sure to secure a reservation at Ca's Patro March beforehand! We weren’t able to dine here this time (I did on a previous occasion with friends in 2019), but the seafood is incredibly fresh and the atmosphere is wonderful.
Our anniversary night dinner was at iconic El Olivo, which is on the property. We were seated just as the sun was going down, but I could imagine how magical it would be especially in the summertime when the days are longer and you can enjoy the breathtaking views late into the evening. The atmosphere and scene all around us felt like we were the main characters in a movie.
